Workshops
TAG Workshops
TAG workshops will begin in Winter Quarter and continue through Spring Quarter. Please note the following: If you have any questions about your educational plan for next year regarding your TAG, make a counseling appointment as soon as possible. If you wait until next summer, you may find that it is too late to adjust for any requirements! Educational plan questions (how to list your in progress and planned coursework for the 2015/2016 academic year)will not be addressed in the workshops. You will receive information about deadlines, how to complete the application, and the timeline of actions after submission.
 
How to Transfer to UC
Learn the basics of UC transfer, requirements, deadlines, the benefits of starting the Application Planner, and how to get guaranteed admission! In addition, learn about the Blue and Gold Plan – UC cost may be much more affordable than you think! Please note that the workshop is not intended to replace advising from a counselor. The workshop will assist you in preparing to meet with your counselor. To obtain your individual educational plan, you must meet with a counselor.
 
How to Transfer to CSU
Learn the basics of CSU transfer, requirements, deadlines and how to get guaranteed admission with a transfer degree! In addition, get your questions answered about financial aid. Please note that the workshop is not intended to replace advising from a counselor. The workshop will assist you in preparing to meet with your counselor. To obtain your individual educational plan, you must meet with a counselor.
 
How to Apply to a Selective University
Not sure how this works? Learn how selective universities make application decisions and how to make your application as competitive as possible. This workshop is most effective for first or second year students.  Please note that this workshop will be taught by the Honors Program Director, Bernie Day.
 
How to Transfer to Private and Out of State Institutions
(This workshop will not be offered during Fall, but will be offered in Winter and Spring Quarters.)
Learn successful strategies for application to private and out-of-state institutions. In addition learn about financial aid opportunities. Please note that the workshop is not intended to replace advising from a counselor. The workshop will assist you in preparing to meet with your counselor. To obtain your individual educational plan, you must meet with a counselor.
