Please note that the general New Student Orientation offered by Foothill College a week before classes start is not a substitute to the mandatory orientation organized by the International Programs Office. All new F-1 international students must attend the special orientation (see the schedule above).

Placement tests, followed by private counseling appointments will determine the courses that you may take in your first quarter. Foothill Student ID numbers will be distributed during orientation that will allow you to register for classes.

Our mission is to ensure your success as an international student at Foothill College and in the United States. The orientation program provides a comprehensive introduction to the most important information topics and tools for your student success. Representatives of many key offices and centers on campus make special time to meet with new international students, such as Admissions & Records, Counseling Center, Health Services Office, Psychological Services, Honors Institute, Student Activities & Student Government, Library, and Transfer Center.
